Great efforts have been made in collecting, conserving, processing, studying and displaying cultural objects which are related to the archaeology, history, cultural and natural history of Hong Kong and South China.
The permanent exhibition showcases 6,000 years of Hong Kong's long history. It occupies an area of 7,000 square metres.   Exhibitions are also held from time to time based on various and interesting themes.a.

Opening hours: Monday & Wednesday to Saturday: 10 am - 6 pm
Sunday and public holiday: 10 am - 7 pm

The Museum is within walking distance of Tsim Sha Tsui or Jordan MTR station and Hung Hom KCR terminus.
