Aberdeen

Aberdeen was formerly a fishing village, and although quite a few commercial towers and factories have been built in this district in recent years,  still maintains the characteristics of a traditional fishing village.  You can catch a glimpse of the boat dwellers who live in Aberdeen bay, and see their sampans scuttlingto and fro.  The famous Jumbo Floating Restaurant and the Tai Bak (Tai Bei) Seafood Boat are located at Aberdeen Harbour.  Visitors can enjoy free travel by ferry boat to the restaurants to sample the delicious seafood available.

There is also a scenic Country Park on the Aberdeen Reservoir Road.  Tracks from the Park lead up to Victoria Peak.

Must do: Sampan Tours

Sampan tours can easily be arranged along Aberdeen Promenade, which runs south and parallel to Aberdeen Praya Rd. You can have your choice of private operators or licensed operators registered with HKTB.
